About

RJ Podeschi received his B.S. in Management of Information Systems from Millikin in 2002, followed by an MBA in 2004.  Before taking up teaching, he spent 11 years in the Millikin IT department, first as a database analyst, then a developer, and finally as the Senior Database Administrator and Team Leader. During that time, he also co-founded an IT consulting firm in Central Illinois serving small businesses and non-profit organizations.

Prof. Podeschi began working as an adjunct faculty member in 2007, teaching classes on Oracle Database Administration and structuring information systems.  He was brought on full-time in 2012, and expanded his teaching to include courses in Java development, data mining, information security, web development, and networking/telecommunications.  He brings a wealth of real-world experience to the table, along with a long career in the world of higher education. RJ can be found tinkering in the off hours building servers and experimenting with new technologies.

In addition to his work at Millikin, RJ is a director at Staley Credit Union, a race director for Penguin in the Park 5K, and is an active member of Sharon United Methodist Church.
