We know that travel time could make it hard to stay for the full day, so we’ve  we planned the conference to present excellent content in both the morning and the afternoon (see updated agenda attached). Students may register from early morning to mid-afternoon, and employers will be available throughout the day.

AN ACCESSIBLE EVENT

North Central College is easily accessible from Illinois 88 and 355, and from the Naperville Metra/Amtrak station. Street parking is available along side streets in the neighborhood, as well as in the college’s outdoor lot at the corner of Brainard and Highland.

There is a short (but hilly) walk between the two buildings hosting the Career Developing Conference. Attendees with accessibility needs should contact Eli O’Sullivan Kurtz at ekurtz@acifund.org no later than Friday, September 27, 2019.

APPLY FOR AN ACI TRANSPORTATION GRANT

ACI offers grants of up to $300 to member colleges requiring assistance to transport students to the Naperville conference. Grants can fund van drivers, van rental, bus or train tickets to bring a group of students to the event. All campuses are eligible to receive grants, but funds are limited. Campuses most distant from Naperville will have priority. To apply for a grant, complete the attached grant application and email it to Eli O’Sullivan Kurtz at ekurtz@acifund.org no later than September 16, 2019.

PROMOTE THE CONFERENCE ON YOUR CAMPUS

Our 2019 goal is to host 8-10 students from each of our 26 member campuses. To help you promote the event, we’re providing a poster you can post around your campus and send to students via email. Please let us know how else we can help you recruit student attendees.

A SOCIAL MEDIA OPPORTUNITY

On the day of the event, use #ACICareerConfab when sharing pictures and posts in your social media channels. This is a great opportunity to spread the word about the excellent career development resources your college provides to its students.

A rewarding experience for all students, even if they are not currently seeking a full-time job, ACI’s Career Development Conference delivers high value to students at every stage of their college career by building their knowledge of available career paths, developing their networking and personal branding skills, and enhancing their job readiness.
