RJ Podeschi received his B.S. in Management of Information Systems from Millikin<\/a> in 2002, followed by an MBA in 2004.\u00a0\u00a0Before\u00a0taking up teaching, he spent 11 years in the Millikin IT department, first as a database analyst, then a developer, and finally as\u00a0the Senior Database Administrator and Team Leader. During that time, he also co-founded an IT consulting firm in Central Illinois serving small businesses and non-profit organizations.<\/p>\n

Prof. Podeschi began working as an adjunct\u00a0faculty member in 2007, teaching classes on Oracle\u00a0Database Administration and structuring information systems.\u00a0 He\u00a0was brought on full-time in 2012, and expanded his teaching to\u00a0include courses in Java development, data mining, information security, web development, and networking\/telecommunications.\u00a0 He brings a wealth of real-world experience to the table, along with a long career in the world of higher education.\u00a0RJ can be found tinkering in the off hours building servers and experimenting with new technologies.<\/p>\n

In addition to his work at Millikin, RJ is a director at Staley Credit Union<\/a>,\u00a0a race director for\u00a0Penguin in the Park\u00a05K<\/a>, and is an active member of Sharon United Methodist Church<\/a>.<\/p>\n
